Odden is one of those places that comes in very handy indeed. Almost on the western most point of Odsherred it is a humble spot, but can make for a good stop to shorten your otherwise long trip. Once here, you can do some grocery shopping and get some wonderful fresh and smoked fish right at the harbour. If the waves are rolling in, it is wonderful to sit up on the high pier and watch them, one after the other, especially of an evening with the sun going down in the west.
Go, See and Do
Go for a swim at the jetty on the eastern side of the harbour. The little pool gives some shelter for the waves should they be bashing against the beach. Take your goggles! There are often pretty fish swimming around the seaweed and rocks.
Take a peak at the flea markets often held in the garages along your way to the supermarket.
If you enjoy your fish, do pop into Odden Fisk direct at the harbour and stock up on smoked fish, the røged laks ist delicious, and get yourself some fresh crays too. Well worth it and not as expensive as in other more upmarket spots.
Visit the Tuna museum in Ostre Havenvej 28, heading east you can’t miss it. It is amazing how large the fishing fleet was, and the amount of tuna they hauled in back in the olden days.
Once you’ve done all that it might be time to move on.
